Overview

  • The committee is made up of:
    • Independent Chairman;
    • Independent Secretary;
    • One representative per Victorian Promotion/School.
  • The committee meets once per year. The first summit is scheduled for 10am Saturday 8 January 2022.
  • The location of the summit will rotate each year, as determined by the Chairman.
  • The Chairman will be voted at the Summit each year. Anyone can nominate to be on the ballot to become Chairman on the condition they are not directly involved with any wrestling promotion or school.
  • Each representative attending the Summit can propose a Motion. This must be submitted to our Chairman using the provided Word Template at least seven days prior to the Summit.
  • The representatives attending the Summit will be emailed all proposed Motions five days prior to the Summit.

Format of Summit

  • Chairman introduction.
  • Each representative will be able to speak for up to 10-minutes to discuss their proposed motions.
  • The Summit will break for 60 minutes for lunch, and representatives to consult with their teams on which Motions they wish to vote in favour.
  • Returning from the break, the Chairman will ask for votes in favour of each Motion. If a Motion receives 75% or greater of the votes, it will be passed.
  • Representatives will sign passed Motions.

Governing of Motions

  • Proposed Motions must include details on how it is proposed to be governed.
  • Wrestling promotions and wrestling schools will have a grace period of 12-weeks to implement passed Motions.

Misc.

  • Motions must be applicable to all wrestling promotions and wrestling schools.
  • This Summit is designed with the values to define the safety of talent, crew, spectators and promotions.
  • This Summit is designed with the values to define the operation standards of wrestling promotions and wrestling schools.
  • This Summit is not designed to influence creative, or impose Motions that are preventative or “red tape” for wrestling promotions or wrestling schools.
